While most of the men are far away fighting for their king and country, the women have to defend themselves.
They compensate for their lack of fighting skills by wearing extravagant battle dresses to discourage and scare away any villains, hopefully without a fight. All done in Painter IX. (Photoshop was used only for some minor color tuning.)

Digital painting and B&W photography….. Interesting combination; sounds familiar but you are a hell-of-a-lot better painter than I. You do this for a living??
